Our guest speaker this coming Tuesday, October 23, 2018, will be Rick McCleod, President and CEO of The SRS Community Reuse Organization (SRSCRO). He will be talking to us about many exciting career opportunities in our area.
SRSCRO is a private, non-profit organization charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to diversify the economy of a five-county region, the SRSCRO Region of Georgia and South Carolina. SRSCRO counties include Aiken, Allendale, and Barnwell in South Carolina and Richmond (Augusta) and Columbia counties in Georgia.
Rick McLeod has served as President and CEO of the SRSCRO since May 2008. He brings a wealth of business experience, technical training and knowledge of the local area to his position with over 25 years experience in business development, fundraising and project management across public and private sectors. McLeod was formerly president of Crescent Environmental Management Corporation in Aiken and served as Technical Advisor to the Savannah River Site Citizens Advisory Board.
He was also part of a comprehensive development department for a national non-profit conservation organization and has extensive experience with foundation and corporate donations, federal grants and appropriations, and conservation easements. McLeod received his B. S. degree in Agricultural Engineering and his Master’s in Environmental System Engineering from Clemson University.
